Somali military tribunal has today executed a government soldier Ahmed Abdullahi Aidid who killed minister late Abas Abdullahi Siraji on May 3rd 2017.
Mohamud Siraji, the brother of the slain, has welcomed the move “Justice finally prevailed! Million thanks to H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamid You did what your predecessor couldn’t do,” said in a twitter post.
Abas Siraji who was 31-year-old served as the minister of public works and he was the youngest cabinet of the prime minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
The armed court found Aidid guilty on June 19, 2017, but since then was imprisoned and waiting for his last moment.
Abbas Siraji grew up in Dadab refugee camp in Kenya, in 2016 he was elected as member of parliament in Somalia.
