Armed court executes two alshabab operatives over killing government security officers

Somali military tribunal, on Thursday morning executed by a firing squad two al-Shabaab operatives, after they were convicted the murder of government officials in Mogadishu’s Dharkenley district, according to the Somali armed court.

Omar Adan Mohamed, 29 years old and Abdulle Ahmed Mudey, 24 years old, were found guilty of killing Abdullahi Mohamed Hilowle Mogadishu municipality officer on October 2019 in Bocle market in the capital and Ali Abdulle Mohamed a Somali military soldier who was killed on November 2019 in Dharkenlay district.

Both men have joined the alshabab militant in 2014, almost two years later, today they were executed.

This is a series execution of terrorist militants, and this brings number of militants executed in recent days to 10.
