The chairperson of the African Union Commission, has appointed Mohammed El-Amine Souef of Comoros as his new envoy to Somalia to replaced the Mozambique’s Fransisco Madeira who was expelled from the country by former prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble in April after being accused the meddling the internal election affairs.
Mohammed El-Amine has previously served several diplomatic posts, foreign minister, ambassador to UN, Egypt and Arab league, he also served as parliamentarian and advisor of the president of Comoros.
Currently, he is head of the MINUSMA Office in Gao-Mali.
