As the nationwide military campaign against al-Shabaab terror group has been intensified, and today Somalia’s chief of defense forces, brigadier general Odawa Yusuf Rage on Tuesday commenced the military training course of the new recruits in Ballidogle military camp, just 90km north of the capital Mogadishu.
Ballidogle is the home of some 500 US soldiers, who the Somali government helps for training its armed forces, conducting special operations against the militants and intelligence.
Somali National Army special unit DANAB also based there, and CDF urged the cadets to take training seriously and be loyal to their country.
