Banadir Commissioner general Farhan Mohamud Adan aka Farhan Qarole has been killed in landmine explosion happened near Bal’ad district just 30 km north of the capital Mogadishu, on Friday.
Statement from Somali Police has confirmed the death of Farhan Qarole who was leading counterterrorism operations against alshabab militant in Middle Shabele Province during the weekend.
“Terrorism is a threat to life, we will never be diverted from our goal of ensuring the security of the country and the elimination of terrorism”, said police spokesman.
