ISIL branch in Somalia has been reported to shut down Mogadishu’s main Bakaro market on Wednesday morning and it is not clear the motive, according to the reports.
One of the business people in the market who spoke to SomaliaEye with anonymity because of fear has confirmed that some parts of the market have closed by Daesh terrorist group, after merchants repudiated to pay extortion money ordered the group.
It’s not the first time that the ISIL has done this, last year the group imposed Bakaro business people to pay extortion money otherwise they would shut down the entire market.
