In a fresh fighting has been reported from Hirshabelle state, on this Sunday morning, in Obale village under Mahaday district in Middle Shabelle province, government forces and allied local fighters have killed over 5 alshabab militants, according to the officials.
Major Ali Hubey, a senior Somali National Army commander leading this operation, said that the army killed 5 alshabab terrorist and confiscating their weapons.
“After heavy clashes, now government forces are taking control the area, we counted five deaths so far,” said in an interview with Radio Mogadishu.
Somali government forces backed by local fighters have freed vast terrains from terrorist group of Alshabab in recent nationwide offensive in Hirshabelle and Galmudug states.
