The residents of Furqan, a recently liberated village in MiddleShabelle region have on Saturday warmly welcomed senior officials from Somali National Army led by the commander of land forces, brigadier general Mohamed Tahalil.
Government forces and allied local fighters have been gaining territories from Alshabab and Furqan, one of them, which is under Adan Yabal.
Officials have acknowledged the local people for their welcoming and urged with them to work closely with the forces who have been fighting for the militants and freed them from their oppressions.
