Somali infantry chief General Mohamed Tahlil Bihi said today that the main road between Bulburde and Beledweyne districts in Hiiraan region, has been cleared by Somali National Army with the support pro government local fighters.
This is significant achievement for the Somali government and its people in fight against terrorist group al-Shabaab which controlled this for the last 13 years.
“I am hereby declared that the main road between Beledweyne and Buloburde towns is now open and no enemy within today, we are just clearing off the landmines that terrorist buried,” said Bihi.
Is a big blow for the alshabab to lose this strategic road, which has put pressure on the travelers between these two major towns in Hiran Province.
