Mogadishu (SONNA) – Somalia’s Federal Ministry of Education has on Tuesday announced the results of the national unified secondary schools’ exam, SONNA reported.
Total students of 33,468 students out of the total 34,469 who were registered to the exam not attended due to unclear circumstances.
Elsewhere, total students of 32,325 students out of the total 33,468 candidates who sat for the exams have passed.
Khalid Abdullahi Mohamud, a student at Iftin school in Warta-Nabadda district, became the star of the exam after securing highest points.
The Somali government has undertaken reforms to improve education sector which is one of the areas affected by the civil war that broke out in the country in the early 1990s.
