NISA pursued these wanted fugitives

The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has arrested more than 10 individuals who have been spying for Kharijites Al Shabaab within government ranks after months of monitoring.

NISA has also confirmed the presence of Al Shabaab spies within the security forces, among them Abdisatar Abdulkadir Isse  and Ayanle Mohamed Ali . Both are on the run with the security forces in hot pursuit.

Somalia’s Minister for Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon. Daud Aweis Jama has issued a stern warning to all government officials against associating with these enemies of the people and the state.

The Federal Government of Somalia has also urged members of the public to share any information about the fugitives with the security agencies.

This development comes at a time when the Federal Government of Somalia is on course to complete the first phase of the military offensive against the Kharijites Al Shabab militants.

The Somali National Army is soon expected to carry out fierce military operations in HirShabelle and Galmudug States in Central Somalia.

The second phase of the offensive will be conducted with the participation of the frontline states (Kenya, Ethiopia and Djibouti) and is expected to begin soon after the completion of the first phase.
