Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency NISA has seized today at the Mogadishu seaport another container, which is filling up with military equipment belonging to the al Shabab terror group, according to the state minister for internal security of Somali.
Mohamed Ali Haga, along with other government officials has said this equipment includes communication devices, military uniform, IEDs and others.
“As we already mentioned when we were at the seaport a second container was seized today, at the same time, similar equipment has been intercepted at the airport,” said Haga. Adding that the two equipment looks like having some sort of connection.
Somali security forces have been working round clock to prevent and fail the terrorist activities in the country, and in recent months the Intelligence agency has stepped up its operation against criminal networks in the country.
The National Intelligence and Security Agency continues to work tirelessly to prevent Al-Shabaab from receiving weapons and equipment that could be used to harm the people of Somalia.
