Somalia’s Prime Minister Hamze Abdi Barre has expressed a sympathy and solidarity with the victims of Kismaayo town market fire incident last night.
“I sincerely send my heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with all the victims, and pray to Allah to replenish your losses,” the head of the government tweeted.
He called on market authorities to train traders and facility managers on basic safety precautions to forestall frequency of fire outbreaks.
“I commend the Jubbaland administration and businessmen for how they succeeded in extinguishing the fire without any loss of life,” he furthermore added.
Fire incident are not common in Kismayo, the provisional capital of Jubaland regional state, but often inflicted by electricity, faulty wiring, lighting and chemical fires.
