Somali Police Forces have on Thursday apprehended suspected Alshabab operative who identified as Muhsin Ali Mustaf around 9 am in the morning in Mogadishu’s Wadajir district, according to the police statement.
Major Sadiq Dodishe police spokesman, said in the statement the man was planning to assassinate Mogadishu municipality officer, and he didn’t give further details about the condition lead to capture the suspected man.
“Somali police captured a suspected Khawarij Muhsin Ali Mustaf as he was trying to killed the Hamar municipality officer in Wadajir district in the capital, we have clear evidence for planning this assassination,” said in the statement seen by SomaliaEye.
The security forces in Banadir region have doubled their operations against the militants and after being defeated in the frontlines and trying to hide the capital, added the statement.
