Muqdisho(SONNA):- Somali Police Force Commander Gen.Abdi Hassan Mohamed (Hijaar) said that the security forces has ended Al-Shabab’s siege of Hayat Hotel in Mogadishu on Sunday, SONNA reported.
The security forces focused entirly on rescuing the people at the scene during the operations.
The commander said that the security forces have rescued more than 106 people, including children and women.
“The number of casulaties and related information will be shared by the Health Ministry.” said Commander Hijaar.
Security forces have confirmed that a small number of casualites were reported in the first phase of the operation and the security forces have done their best to save the people inside the hotel.
The Commander of the Somali Police Force has sent his condolences to the families to the vicitims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
