Somali president H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has visited today in Mahas district in Hiran province and it is part of his tour on several battlefronts in Galgadud, Mudug and Hiran.
Hundreds of mahas residents led by Hirshabelle vice president Yusuf Dabaged and other officials welcomed to the town which is the birthplace of the ongoing military campaign against alshabab militant.
Speaking to the people he applauded the role of this people in the fight against terrorist militant, who have been ruling the vast land of the country for the last 15 years.
“While, I am in the office I committed to eradicate the alshabab group from Somalia, Elbur, Harardhere, Adan Yabal, Jacar and others must free from terrorist,” said the president. Adding that his administration will do whatever it takes, alshabab will disappear in the country.
This is his first trip to these regions since he took office back in May, and after Mahas will embark on other key frontlines, probably will be Wisil town in Mudug and Bahdo in Galgadud.
