Somalia Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, has on Monday attended in Mogadishu for launching an event of women peace and security program organized by the ministry of women and human rights development.
In hir remarks at the ceremony, the prime minister has deeply touched the role of women in the country’s stability and, in particular the ongoing drought responses spearheaded by the federal government.
He also expressed his gratitude to the people who stood up to defend their dignity from the terrorist those tries to humiliating them.
“I sent my heartfelt congratulations to the Somali tribes and men and women who took armies against the militants to liberate them from their villages and the government will support and have already supported,” said the prime minister.
The prime minister has bolded how Somali women are important to take part in the operations carried by the national army against al-Shabaab.
He encouraged the mayor of Mogadishu Omar Filish to hold each district of the Banadir Province a public gathering like this, to mobilize the community in order to engage the government in security activities.
