Security forces arrest number of Alshabab suspects in Barawe town

Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency armed wing have conducted hunting down operation against Alshabab operative in coastal of Barawe, arresting at least four prime terrorist suspects, those said to be planning plot against the residents.

Officials told state media, they carried out this operation after they leaked them the terrorist’s information, and it’s because of the South West president AbdiAziz Laftagaren is in his working visit to the administration constitutional capital.

This ancient Indian Ocean town has been enjoying a relative peace since 2014, when Somali government forcefully took over from alshabab, and its control by government forces and African Union peacekeeping mission ATMIS.

NISA officials has vowed to continue offensives against the militants.
