Somali National Army backed by local fighters have on Wednesday killed up to 28 alshabab militants in Juhay village under Adan Yabal district in Middle Shabelle province, according to the Somalia’s ground commander.
Speaking to the state media, General Mohamed Tahlil Bihi, said that the army got information that the militants have been regrouping the area in order to fight back the SNA and local fighters, who have been battling for weeks in the region.
Just a week ago, government forces and local people liberated the Adan Yabal from the militants, and since then the army have been following after the remnants in the bushes.
