Up to 40 alshabab militants were killed and many others injured, after government forces carried out operations in Daru-Naim village near Adan Yabal district in Hirshabelle state, according to the state media.
Quoted by government officials, state media reported that the forces have targeted the area where the militants were regrouping.
Daru Naim village is under al Kowthar village, which was one of the latest locations freed from the terrorist.
