Somali National army and locals on Saturday took over Aadley and El-baraf villages in Middle Shabelle province from Al-Shabab Khawarij, according to the state media.
Military officials on the ground confirmed that the army on Saturday had fully taken control of these key villages located near the border line between Hiran and Middle Shabelle provinces.
Liberation offensive against al-Shabaab terror group have been going on in the country over a month, and the government forces backed by local fighters have been gaining a momentum while the militants have been weakened.
The strategic town Wabho, was the latest place liberated from the Al-Shabaab after nearly 15 years in control and officials said they are further moving into other areas which terrorists still humiliating the people.
