The Mayor of Mogadishu Yusuf Madale along with Turkish Agency TIKA official Mr. Ilhami Turus has on Monday laid the foundation stone in Mogadishu a factory which will industrialize the local resources and create job opportunities for Somali youths.
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency TIKA will implement the factory in Mogadishu’s old city Shangani, Awies Amudi the district commissioner has said he embraced for being the first district to benefit from this mega project.
The Turkish brothers have been assisting us for such a long time and their help is touchable and everyone can see, we never forget them, said the mayor.
Turkish has been an affirming partner for Somalia since 2011, at the time current president Erdogan suddenly arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu and became the first non Africa leader who visited Mogadishu for more than 20 years.
