Prime minister cuts the ribbon today the new immigration HQ

Somali prime minister H.E Hamza Abdi Barre has officially cut the ribbon of the new headquarter of the Somalia’s directorate of immigration and naturalization in the capital Mogadishu.

In a colorful event, which inaugurated the new HQ were attended by dozens of Somali government officials, ministers, lawmakers, police commissioner, the mayor of Mogadishu and others officers.

During his remarks at the ceremony, the prime minister pointed out the immigration’s new building is showcasing how the directorate is improving and developing its services to the people.

“This new well-equipped offices will take part in fulfilling the national duty in a transparent manner and improving the service providing mechanism,” said the prime minister.

“The immigration and naturalization directorate’s new headquarter is the national face,” he added.

In collaboration with the governments of Denmark, Norway, UK and Finland, the Somali government has built this building near Mogadishu’s Adan Abdulle international airport, and the prime minister toured the new offices and inspected the daily base operations.
